HA Go App redesign with patient-oriented service recommendations

01 /

Overview

HA Go gives patients and carers mobile access to public hospital services and personal health management. For the App’s third anniversary in 2022, JW Media redesigned the interface around the patient journey—bringing reminders, health information, family care and frequently used services into a clearer, more approachable experience.

02 /

The Challenges

  • Make a growing range of hospital services easier for patients and carers to navigate.
  • Bring personalised reminders, health records and family care into one coherent overview.
  • Simplify registration and account activation without losing clarity around identity verification.

03 /

Design Direction

  • Organise the home experience around what patients need to do and know next.
  • Use personalised prompts and a health overview to surface relevant information sooner.
  • Group services into clearer, scannable entry points supported by function search.

04 / Selected process

From thought to form.

We reorganised the experience around patient needs, connecting reminders, health summaries, family care and everyday hospital services within a clearer hierarchy. We refined service discovery and registration journeys into focused steps, helping users understand available functions and what is required to become a full member.
